Cleous “GloWry” Young is now a brilliant force in the world of literature, theater, and social activism. A person who has gone through the parallel force of living through the negative experiences (lived experience) of his life and then now offering these viable experiences through innovative teachings via the aviation context. Born on the vibrant island of St. Thomas, Jamaica, Young has transformed his childhood positive doings into a transfiguration mission of global impact. As a poet, writer, author, playwright, director, speaker, instructor, life coach, former teacher, former behavioral therapist, social activist, filmmaker, and visionary, Young has dedicated over two decades searching for a more meaningful life than his childhood’s dream of becoming the next Pele’… He may not be a Pele’ on the soccer field, but he is the Pele’ of enriching communities and advocating social justice on a global level…
Young’s journey began with giving up his ardent desire to become the next Pele’ and began a unique approach to poetry, by crafting verses without rhyming words and stanzas, which led to his work being featured in a book anthology by Poetry.com. His literary prowess expanded into children’s literature, where he authored and published several books. His passion for storytelling and social change culminated in the creation of powerful theatrical productions such as “The Bullying Effect,” “The Garbage Can,” “A Lit Christmas,” and his latest trauma production, "Being Safe, To2gether!!" where he not only wrote and directed these productions, but also performed in some of them.
In addition to his artistic endeavors, Young is the founder of The TEB-IT Foundation, an organization committed to fostering safety, worth, and value within communities across the globe. His innovative social brand, “The Airport Adventure,” development aims to source individuals with the authority and power to unlocking their higher selves. Young’s latest educational initiative, “Organic Learning,” seeks to revolutionize global education by promoting holistic and inclusive learning experiences via The Airport Adventure's signature experiences. His experience and authority around this subject matter has been garnering him invites for speaking and presentations from states such as New York, Delaware, Florida, and Georgia. Unlike others who address trauma through the lenses of Trauma Informed, Young’s signature approach is, "Trauma Re-Defined."
